FAQ

Where are your treats made?

Everything from Stellar Petfoods is proudly sourced and made in the USA!

How are your treats made?

Freeze-dried treats are made by removing moisture from raw or cooked (we use raw ingredients) using a low-temperature drying process. This preserves the nutrients and flavor without the need for additives or preservatives and ensures that each treat retains its health benefits while providing an enjoyable taste experience for your furry companions.

Do freeze-dried treats need to be refrigerated?

No, you do not need to refrigerate your freeze-dried treats. They are shelf stable as long as they are kept in a dark, cool, dry place and sealed properly.

How long do freeze-dried treats last?

They usually have a long shelf life, often 12-18 months or more, depending on the packaging and ingredients. Keeping them in a dark, cool, dry location will extend the life of your treats. Always check the expiration date on your treats and look for any spoilage.

Can freeze-dried treats be used as a meal replacement?

No, not normally. They are meant to be used for training or rewarding. Some freeze-fried foods are complete meals, but our treats are meant to be fed intermittently (reward, meal topper, training) as they do not provide a fully balanced nutritional meal.

What types of treats do you offer for pets?

We specialize in premium freeze-dried treats for both dogs and cats. At the moment, our product range includes single-ingredient options such as Beef Liver, Chicken, and Salmon, designed to provide a healthy and tasty reward for your pets.

Are your treats suitable for pets with dietary restrictions?

Since our treats are made from single-ingredient proteins, they are ideal for pets with specific dietary restrictions or sensitivities. However, it is advisable to consult with a veterinarian before introducing any new treats into your pet's diet, especially if they have known allergies.

Can freeze-dried treats cause digestive issues?

Some pets may need time to adjust to our treats, especially if they are rich or novel proteins. Introduce gradually to monitor for any reactions, and always consult with a veterinarian before introducing new treats into your pets diet.

What is your shipping policy?

We offer a flat rate shipping fee of $5.95 for orders under $75 within the United States. Orders that meet or exceed a subtotal of $75 qualify for free shipping. Please note that we currently do not ship internationally, or to the following areas: Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, or the Northern Mariana Islands.

What should I do if my order is returned due to an address error?

If an order is returned due to an address error, customers will incur an additional shipping charge based on the actual cost of shipping. It is recommended to double-check the shipping address before placing an order. If the order is returned and the customer does not wish to pay the additional shipping fee, a refund will be issued minus the original shipping charges, provided the customer does not respond within 5 business days.
